In a new video at Cool Hunting, the team behind Confederate Motorcycles discusses the theory behind their craft and gives a behind-the-scenes look at building their bikes. The brand only produces 50 motorcycles a year and the video showcases the detailed craftsmanship that goes into constructing the bikes, which are designed with a minimalist, no-frills aesthetic: “The greatest aesthetic expression of rebellion for us has been to take very, very focused minimalism — taking everything away, no covers, really showcasing the rough and free workmanship and fusing that with emotion, with passion, with a sense of romantic burning desire.”
